5 Packages Our Services

WTG – Wind Turbine Generator

The Wind Turbine Generator is the core energy-producing asset of an offshore wind farm, encompassing the nacelle, rotor, blades, and tower. Selecting the right turbine model and defining the optimal procurement and contracting strategy are critical decisions that directly impact project cost, schedule, and long-term performance.

Our Added Value: We support developers and owners in defining the best procurement and contracting strategy for WTG packages, evaluating market options, assessing vessel spread requirements for installation, and ensuring contractual frameworks protect your interests. We also offer dedicated training courses on WTG technologies and contracting best practices.

FOU – Foundations

The foundation type is driven by water depth, soil and weather conditions, and as always project economics.

The foundation is the structural interface between the turbine and the seabed. Whether monopile, jacket, or floating, the foundation type is driven by water depth, soil conditions, and project economics. Decisions made at design stage have lasting consequences through fabrication, transport, and installation.

Our Added Value: From concept design through fabrication and offshore installation, we provide independent advisory on foundation selection, design review, fabrication surveillance, and marine installation strategy. Our expertise ensures the most technically and commercially optimal solution is adopted at every stage.

OSS – Offshore Substation

The Offshore Substation (OSS) is the electrical hub of the wind farm, collecting power from turbines and stepping up voltage for efficient transmission to shore. Its design, procurement, and commissioning must be carefully coordinated to avoid costly delays to the overall project programme.

Our Added Value: We advise on OSS strategy from early design through to commissioning, covering engineering reviews, procurement support, installation methodology, and interface management. We help clients navigate the complexity of this critical asset and deliver it on time and within budget.

Inter-Array & Export Cables

The cable systems — inter-array cables connecting turbines and the export cable linking the wind farm to shore — represent a significant share of project cost and schedule risk. Cable design, burial strategy, and installation sequencing require careful planning and contractor management.

Our Added Value: We provide end-to-end advisory on cable strategy, from route selection and design review to installation vessel assessment and contractual risk allocation. Our specialists ensure cable scopes are de-risked and that procurement and installation strategies are optimised for your project conditions.

Onshore Infrastructure

The onshore infrastructure includes the landfall, onshore cable route, and onshore substation connecting the offshore wind farm to the national grid. Though often considered last, it carries significant permitting, civil, and electrical complexity that can define the overall project timeline.

Our Added Value: We support clients across the full onshore scope — from route studies and permitting strategy to design review and construction oversight. Combined with our offshore expertise, we offer a truly integrated view of the project, ensuring onshore and offshore workstreams are aligned. Training courses are also available to build internal team capability on this often-overlooked package.
